- To 'grow' membership
- To establish BCCRA as the 'voice' of city centre residents and to represent residents at appropriate forums
- To lobby for improvements to the city centre's public realm and for its ongoing maintenance
- To lobby for city centre located health care facilities
- To liaise with the police to combat crime (including anti social behaviour) and to address the fear of crime
- To improve the provision of city centre recycling facilities
- To be consultee on city centre planning applications
- To be consulted on city centre events organisation and planning
- To produce positive PR/Marketing for BCCRA (and the city) including a launch event
- To secure funding to promote and execute the above
